Architecture should be inspiring, useful and sustainable delivering an ideal balance between site-specific goals and broader societal and environmental contexts. Are there buildings in British Columbia you feel a connection with and are inspired by?
The Architectural Foundation of British Columbia is inviting all British Columbians to nominate their favorite building in BC regardless of the function, materials, or age. This is not a juried architectural competition; more of a people’s choice type of contest. All you need to do is be able to tell why you like the building and submit photos.
This contest is to celebrate 100 years of architecture in British Columbia. The AFBC has recently launched this 100 Best Buildings Contest to find buildings that people have an emotional connection to — perhaps where they may live, work or play. Nominations can be any kind of structure or building in British Columbia that is best-loved , for whatever reason.
