At the beginning of 2014, RATIO was launched. Our new brand signifies what is important to us and what our clients’ value in working with us. It is our curiosity, thoughtfulness and the challenge of conventions — in just the right proportions — that enable us to elevate the designs we create for our clients.
We’re proud of our new brand, and the work that went in to define RATIO.
A ratio expresses proportion, balance and relationship. Our name is grounded in the importance of relations and relationships in our work. Between a building and its environment. Between citizens and structures. Between our firm and our clients. How do we live and breathe the RATIO story? On every project we bring distinctive thinking, rigorous creativity and a progressive approach.
With interesting project starts, successful completions and even a few awards, 2014 has been a rewarding year for the RATIO team.
On the go are projects including two libraries, border crossing, multiple credit union branches, the Ruskin Generating Station, and the Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Centre.
Recently, the excellent work on our new RATIO stationery, designed by Industrial Brand and printed by MET Fine Printers, was recognized at the Canadian Print Awards with a Gold in the Stationery category. More about the RATIO story can be viewed on Industrial Brand’s site. Earlier this year, RATIO Principal, Thomas Annandale, was inducted into the prestigious College of Fellows at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. You can find out more about Tom’s and his honour here. And, RATIO was honoured with a number of awards for the Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union uptown branch most notably two BC Wood Design Awards and a Southern Interior Construction Association Commercial Building Award. We look forward to the ongoing collaboration with our clients. After decades in architecture, interior design and planning, we’ve learned that outstanding work is built on relationships. For us, real success is the moment when a client is presented with a design solution and says, “We did it.”
Thanks for a terrific 2014 and we look forward to a great 2015.
