One of our firm’s earliest works, this Catholic church is notable for its modern design and innovative use of materials. The unmistakable facade was designed in collaboration with sculptor and graphic artist George Norris.
The building incorporates a striking concrete folded plate roof structure that was unprecedented in Vancouver at the time. Today, its prominent location along the west side of Queen Elizabeth Park and dynamic roof line make the Holy Name Church one of the most recognizable structures in the city.
